These courses were developed to teach adjusters the practical knowledge and estimating skills they use in the field. To get the most out of these valuable courses, we recommend taking our Tactical Xactimate Course or being familiar with Xactimate before proceeding.
As a property claims adjuster, you must be able to accurately identify construction materials and components in order to write accurate damage estimates in Xactimate. Our Estimating Property Damage Package includes a host of courses designed to walk you through the materials, components, and construction of the different parts of a property. These courses are available for continuing education credits in Mississippi. Instructions for reporting are listed in your classroom. You may not receive credit for any continuing education hours until after you have received your license.

Compliance
Mississippi adjusters will be required to complete 24 hours of continuing education (CE) every two-year license term. The 24 hours must include at least 3 hours of Ethics. You cannot receive credit for any course more than once in any CE reporting period. Excess CE credits cannot be applied to the next compliance cycle.
Initial licenses expire on the last day of the licensee’s birth month in the following year, but no less than 13 months from the date of issue. After that, the license will expire every two years on the last day of the adjuster’s birth month. Review Mississippi’s CE Chart detailing how many CE hours are required for your license.
• For initial licenses in effect for 13-18 months: 12 hours of continuing education is required each year prior to the expiration date.
• For initial licenses in effect for 19-24 months: 24 hours of continuing education including three hours of ethics.
