The Designated Home State (DHS) license was created to provide residents of non-licensing states a means to designate a home state for the purposes of reciprocity and compliance. You should only obtain a DHS License if you reside in one of the following non-licensing states: Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D. C., or Wisconsin.

A DHS license basically works just like having your home state license and is vital if you want to work any claims outside of your non-licensing state. While a host of different states offer a DHS license, the Florida 70-20 Nonresident DHS license is our top recommendation.     This course is really amazing, and I really did enjoy the humor added to some of the slides. I also REALLY appreciate the gray summarized text boxes on all of the article-type slides for my state-specific information. The narrators are really well spoken and have the perfect amount of energy to be enjoyable, whilst not driving me to sleep. I’m very grateful I took this course, and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone who’s interested in getting their adjusting license.     This course provided excellent material that will undoubtably help me in my career as an insurance adjuster. It was not always easy understanding the material, but the format was very flexible and self paced which I loved! My only complaint, and it’s not a major one, is the feedback after quizzes and tests could use some refining. Often, I would find the feedback was just repeating the question along with the answer rather than elaborating on why the correct answer was the right one. Maybe some polish on that would help other students. Either way, great course and I can’t wait to see where this will take me! Thanks Adjusterpro!
