My insurance adjusting journey started about 7 years ago when I didn’t even know what an insurance adjuster was. My husband’s friend first talked to us about it a year prior to me getting my license, but what he said at that time went in one ear and right out the other. I felt as if he was speaking a foreign language.
Fast-forward to a year later when a relative shared a similar experience. He also told me more about the earning potential, which intrigued me enough to pursue the career. So with a nudge from my husband, I ended up taking a pre-licensing course and got my license. The rest is history!
Prior to adjusting, I was so unhappy with my career in sales. I knew I wanted out, but didn’t have any idea what direction to take. This is why I’m so passionate about helping people make a career change at any age! I’ve been there and experienced many emotions when deciding to make the transition, including fear of the unknown. But God helped me press through that fear and I ultimately made the right choice to change for the better.
Independent insurance adjusting is a career where anyone, even those with no prior experience like myself, can succeed and achieve a substantial income. With numerous paths to explore based on individual interests, this field offers endless opportunities. Plus, without the need for a college degree, anyone can excel. You just need licensing and a strong drive for success. Frankly, I really wish I’d known about this opportunity before racking up all my student loan debt.
This career has allowed me to spend more time with my family, get out of debt, actually save money and invest, take extended vacations, provide the necessary time and money to pursue other passions, and put to use more of the gifts God has blessed me with to be a blessing to others.
I’m grateful to now do work that I truly enjoy, while also helping others who are new to or curious about the field. Whether through my website or my YouTube channel, I’m committed to providing guidance and support to those looking to get started and excel in insurance adjusting.
