We asked two of our licensed adjusters to review the new AdjusterProQA software, which helps you quality-check your Xactimate estimates. Read through their experiences to learn if AdjusterProQA might be the tool that can help you take your career to the next level.

When I first started adjusting, I felt completely out of my element. One of my biggest pressures was submitting estimates in a timely manner; I was slow and had little experience with construction or building materials. I spent many evenings, often long into the night, researching the basics: how to make repairs, ascertaining necessary materials for each repair, locating each item in Xactimate, etc. I would eventually piece together an estimate, but it was incredibly time-consuming.
I remember searching for cheat sheets or Xactimate guides online, but there was nothing substantial available. For example, finding and applying the correct construction-related items in Xactimate is challenging because of the precise verbiage required by Xactimate (some industry terms are different in the field than in Xactimate). Learning the different lingos was time consuming, and if there is anything that is precious in adjusting deployments, it is time.
When I heard about AdjusterProQA I decided to give it a test drive, and was not disappointed.
Why I like it:
- The platform was straightforward and easy to navigate.
- It points out missing line items, suggests additional items, and explains what items are usually paired together, which is very helpful for new adjusters.
- It was the “second pair of eyes” I needed as a new adjuster, and I believe it would have greatly increased my confidence when submitting my first estimates.
- It is a timesaver that has the power to increase the number of inspections/estimates completed per day. And in insurance adjusting, more claims = more money.
This was exactly the kind of tool I wish I had when I started! I can say with confidence that it would have helped me to efficiently create detailed and accurate estimates. I would have been very excited to find this and can, without reservation, recommend it to adjusters.

I created an estimate in the XM8 demo using a practice claim (kitchen damage caused by fire) from the Level 1 Verisk XM8 Manual. The claim required a sketch of the interior of the home, but only line items for the damage in the kitchen. I uploaded a draft of my estimate into AdjusterProQA.
AdjusterProQA offers a Scope Evaluation by giving feedback on additional line items that could be added based on what I had entered for items that were being repaired or replaced. These suggestions are helpful and would definitely be valuable if one had little to no training on scoping and/or little knowledge of the materials and labor involved.
Most of my previous deployments were for wind and hail claims, meaning the primary damage was usually to the roof and elevations of the property. I haven’t had as much experience with interior damage so for someone like me, the feedback on my “fire damage claim” was really helpful.
What I liked the most, is that the software is really simple and easy to use. The interface is user-friendly, and it tells you step-by-step how to move through the process. You don’t need to be an experienced estimator or Xactimate guru to work AdjusterProQA.
