Iowa began licensing independent adjusters on July 1st, 2025. They will not offer reciprocal licenses to any out-of-state adjusters. The industry is still sorting through Iowa’s new regulations, and at this time, reciprocity for licensed Iowa adjusters is still being determined. Some states have indicated they will not make a final decision for a few months, so this map is a work in progress. If you have a question about a specific state, we recommend reaching out to their Insurance Licensing Department.
