Description
The Designated Home State (DHS) license was created to provide residents of non-licensing states a means to designate a home state for the purposes of reciprocity and compliance. You should only obtain a DHS License if you reside in one of the following non-licensing states: Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D. C., or Wisconsin.
A DHS license basically works just like having your home state license and is vital if you want to work any claims outside of your non-licensing state. While a host of different states offer a DHS license, the Florida 70-20 Nonresident DHS license is our top recommendation. It offers great reciprocity, you can take the exam online with us, and Florida has the quickest application turnaround time in the country.
Florida DHS adjuster candidates must take an approved pre-licensing course and pass an exam before applying for their license. Our Florida Certified Adjuster Pre-licensing Course satisfies both requirements. Once you complete the course and pass the included exam, you can apply for your 70-20 license. Our Florida Certified Adjuster Designation is the fastest and simplest way to get your Designated Home State License.
While obtaining your license is the most important step to becoming a claims adjuster, you shouldn’t stop there! Our Total Adjuster Package was developed to give new adjusters everything they need to get started, get hired, and get to work. Plus, you’ll save almost $250 off individual pricing when you bundle your Florida Pre-Licensing Course + Exam, Xactimate Training, Residential Construction Basics, Soft Skills: The Art of Insurance Adjusting, and our Adjuster Success Method.
Note: After purchase, all of these courses will be available in your personal online classroom. We highly recommend you take them in the order they are listed below. While our Xactimate course is approved for CE in certain states, you must hold a valid license before taking any course you intend to submit for continuing education credit.

the use of abrevations in the course with out defining them during the course is often confusing. the additions of defining the abrevations in each module would be helpful to set the information for the student.

There are typographical errors and unclear questions with no full outline of a scenario that could provide the answer to a question and where the explanation afterward provides detail that was missing in the question. Overall educational but needs review for errors.
